WHAT HAPPENS

DURING THE

WORSHIP

EXPERIENCE?

  • OUR Services Generally Open With A Brief Welcome From One Of Our Men Who Will Also Make Announcements, Go Over The Most Recent Church Prayer List And Whether There Are Any Changes To Said List, Read A Portion Of Scripture And Offer An Opening Prayer.

  • OUR Song Leader Will Lead Us In Two Or Three Songs. The Whole Congregation Sings A Capella (Without Mechanical Instruments), Just As They Did In New Testament Times (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16). Visitors Are Encouraged To Sing Along, But If You Prefer, Please Simply Listen. Many Say They Find It Easier To Focus On The Song's Meaning Since The Words Are More Easily Understood Without Musical Accompaniment.

  • ONE Of Our Co-Ministers Will Lead The Congregation In Intercessory Prayer For The Saints (Members).

  • OUR Song Leader Will Lead Us In Two Or Three More Songs.

  • COMMUNION (Lord's Supper) Is Observed Each Sunday By Partaking Of Unleavened Bread And Fruit Of The Vine (1 Corinthians 11:23-29) Just As They Did In New Testament Times (Acts 20:7 ff). One Of Our Men Will Lead Us In A Prayer Before The Bread And Again Before The Fruit Of The Vine; He May Even Read A Portion Of Scripture To Remind Us Of Jesus' Instruction On The Lord's Supper. We Consider It A Highlight Of The Week To Commemorate Christ's Death And Celebrate His Promised Return.

  • OUR Preacher Will Deliver A Sermon From The Bible. All Are Encouraged To Bring Their Bibles (There Are Also Bibles In The Pews) And Follow Along As He Proclaims God's Inspired Word. When You Visit, You Will Meet People Who, Just Like You, Sincerely Want To Follow The Teachings Of The Bible And Please God With Their Lives. You Will Find That Every Class And Sermon Is Based On The Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • AT The Sermon's End, The Lord's Invitation Is Offered (Matthew 11:28-30) For Any Who Want To Become Christians Or Rededicate Their Lives To God. There Is No Coercion. Our Song Leader Will Lead A Song During The Invitation.

  • THERE May Be A Brief Recap Of The Morning's Announcements.

  • OUR Song Leader Will Lead Us In A Closing Song.

  • ONE Of Our Men Will Offer A Prayer For The Collection And Closing Of Our Worship Experience. Members Make A Financial Offering As They've Been Prospered  For The Poor And The Spread Of The Gospel And The Maintenance Of The Saints (That's Us!) (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). Guests Are Not Expected to Give - Rather, Your Presence Among Us Is Your Contribution!

WHAT ELSE

CAN I EXPECT?

Our Church Family Strives To Be A "Visitor Friendly" Congregation. Since Many Of Our Members Were At One Time Visitors Themselves, We Know How It Feels On A First Visit. We Make It Our Goal To Be The Friendliest Church You've Ever Visited. We Aim To Treat Others The Way We Want To Be Treated, Like Jesus Said (Matthew 7:12). You'll Receive A Warm Greeting And Find Assistance To Locate Your Class (Or Your Children's) And/Or A Comfortable Seat In The Worship Service. You Will Not Be Singled Out, Made To Stand, Encouraged To Give Any "Testimony" Or In Any Other Way Made To Feel Embarrassed. Our Worship Experience Is Simple, Reverent, Practical And Meaningful.

We strive To Be Bible-Based, Christ-Centered And Heaven Bound! Christ's Church (For That's What We Are) And Our Local Family Of Believers Is Made Up Of All Kinds Of People (1 Corinthians 12:12; Galatians 3:27-28). No Matter Your Race, Educational Background Or Economic Level We Hope You'll Feel Comfortable In Our Services. We Mean It When We Say, "Everybody Is Welcome!"
